Abstract
La gobernación ambiental es un tipo particular de gobernación en el cual los asuntos ambientales adquieren relevancia para la formulación de políticas públicas. La buena gobernación ambiental introduce una perspectiva de corresponsabilidad entre gobernante y gobernado, así como un compromiso para cuidar el ambiente. Este artículo examina la gobernación ambiental en México apoyándose en el caso del manejo de residuos peligrosos. Concluye que la gobernación ambiental en el país es aún ineficiente; por ello, propone transitar hacia niveles superiores, de buena gobernación, mediante la atención a tres desafíos: corresponsabilidad y compromiso con el cuidado ambiental, reforma al arreglo institucional del ramo, y reflexión sobre el papel del conocimiento experto como superior al conocimiento de la gente común.Open access policy
