Abstract
In order to find out the relationship between the reconfigurations of production that took place in the region as part of the process linking Sonora to the global markets, a research project was undertaken in the outskirts of Hermosillo, of which the present article is a product. One of the consequences of the city's growth has been the expansion of its impoverished outskirts, and the identities of groups in conditions of poverty. The purpose of this project was to understand the exclusion mechanism of the dual city, according to the perspective of social actor's referents for giving sense to the "moments" of the historic flowing in which they are situated in terms of their position within a social space.Open access policy
