Abstract
Objective: to know which are the conditions of territorial intelligence to manage a tourist destination into an intelligent one. Methodology: using the deductive method, a systematic bibliographic review of eleven documents was carried out. Results: the main characteristics for a tourist destination to be projected as intelligent were identified, among which the use of information and communication technologies, the focus on sustainable development, and the active role played by the government stand out. Value: the originality and value of this work reside in the finding of the guidelines towards where new research should go and where the efforts made these destinations should go. Conclusions: given the current global scenario, it is important that tourist destinations find alternatives to stay current and looking towards a more sustainable future.
